Dr. Corliss specializes in psychological assessment and strongly believes it can have a lasting positive impact on the lives of children who are struggling to demonstrate their full academic potential, achieve developmental milestones, get along with parents or friends, manage their behavior, and/or cope with negative feelings. With a friendly demeanor, Dr. Corliss will work with your family to ease stress and find workable solutions. Over the course of the assessment process, she will develop a positive relationship with your child, listen closely to your concerns, pinpoint the most pressing problems, explain the results in practical terms, and outline proven interventions. By the end, your family will walk away with straightforward answers and personalized recommendations.
Dr. Corliss also provides adolescent, couples, and family therapy as well as parent consultation. She specializes in helping clients deal with anxiety, depression, life stress, parent-child conflict, and conflict in their intimate relationships. She is empathic and honest during sessions and will work collaboratively with you to promote progress towards your goals.
Dr. Corliss and her husband have two children who are taking them on the non-stop adventure of raising 21st century kids in Northern Virginia. Her interests include watching movies, travelling, and helping families achieve their full potential.
